Sunburn occurs on fruit that initially develop under cloudy or rainy conditions and are exposed to sudden direct sun and heat. Symptoms occur on portions of fruit exposed to the sun.

Management:
- Maintain a good plant canopy over fruit by promoting plant vigor and by using good cultural practices.
- Irrigate when soil is dry to reduce fruit stress.
